Avast Anti-Virus Bypassing – Micro Keylogger

To avoid Micro Keylogger to be detected and reported by Avast anti-virus, you need to add Micro Keylogger to Avast exception list with following steps:

  1. Right-click on the Avast icon from the taskbar. In the appeared popup menu go to "Avast! Shields control" and choose for example "Disable for 1 hour" from the submenu . In the following warning window, press "Yes" to confirm this action.
  2. Download and install Micro Keylogger.
  3. Open Avast Antivirus. Click "Settings".
  4. Click "Global Exclusions" in the sidebar.
  5. Then click "browse", select the folder "C:/Windows/security/Syslogs" and click "OK". Click "Add", "OK" to add the path to the exception. You can also click "Urls" and add the path directly.
  6. If you can not find "C:/Windows/security/Syslogs", please follow these steps to display hidden files and folders:

    1. Click "Start"-"Control Panel", open "Appearance and Personalization" – "Folder Options".
    2. Click the "View" tab. Under "Advanced settings", click "Show hidden files and folders", and then click "OK".
  7. Go to Avast home interface and click "Scan" to ensure the antivirus does not pick up Micro Keylogger.
